Boat capsizes in Padma: 2 cousins still missing

The two students who went missing after a boat capsized in the Padma river near Rajshahi city on Friday afternoon. A motorized boat carrying 13 people including Sadia Islam Suchona and her cousin Rimon capsized near a dam in the Nabaganga area of the river due to a strong current around 5:00pm. 

Although 11 passengers of the boat were rescued alive, the two are still missing.

Sadia Islam Suchona, a BBA student at the American Internal University of Bangladesh (AIUB). The other is his cousin Rimon, an eighth-grader. They lived in Dhaka. They came to visit their relatives in Kholabana area of ​​Rajshahi.

Confirming the missing news of the two, Deputy Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense Zakir Hossain said, "The two have not been found yet. Fire service divers continue the operation. The rescue work is being hampered due to the strong current of the river."
