Clearwater is gushing around and a beautiful red-white-green house made of bamboo is above this. Men and women of different ages are enjoying the green nature in that bamboo room in the open air. Such a scene can be seen in the Borishol Boalia Beel at the estuary of the Titas River on the Akhaura Barabazar-Borishol Heledi Road in Brahmanbaria.
Anyone who sees this view from a distance will think it is a “beach”. Shops and restaurants have been set up on the banks of the beel for the convenience of the visitors.
The owners of these houses and restaurants on the banks of Boalia Beel are - Md. Alamgir Hossain, an expatriate from Borishol village in Basudeb UP of Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila and businessman Noor Alam Bhuiyan.
It was seen on the spot that there was an overflowing crowd of people in these colorful houses built on the water on the bank of the beel. The name of the beel has spread in a short time due to the improved communication system. People are coming here from far and wide every day.
Md. Parvez Mia of Masjid Para in Akhaura Municipal city said he came here to spend time with his family after hearing from the people. The clean air in the afternoon at the estuary of Titus and the breathtaking view captivate his mind, he added.
Md. Alamgir Hossain, an owner of Boalia Beel Restaurant and Party Center, said the area does not have a good entertainment system. There is nothing to spend leisure time. “With that in mind, I built this restaurant on the beel at the estuary of the Titas River. Besides the natural environment, affordable food is also available here,” he also said, expressing his desire to make it bigger.
