Blast hits mosque again in Narayanganj, 1 killed

A man was killed and another injured as a blast reported at a mosque at Baburail area in Narayanganj. The explosion took place when an iron pipe came into touch to the wire of an electric transformer while cleaning the water house of the mosque.

The deceased was identified as Pipe mechanic Monir Hossain while the muezzin of the mosque, Solayman, received burn injury.

The blast took place at Baitul Falah Jame Mosque in the Baburail area of ​​Narayanganj city on Friday morning. Deceased Monir Hossain used to leave as a tenant of Mozaffar Contractor's house in Baburail area of ​​the city.

Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station OC Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident.

He said the blast occurred when an iron rod was being uplifted while cleaning the ojukhana of the mosque. Pipe mechanic Monir Hossain was burnt to death. Injured muezzin  Solayman was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with burn injury.
