Biman’s return Hajj flight lands in Dhaka

The return Hajj flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with 418 Hajj pilgrims. 

This is the first return Hajj flight this year.

The plane landed on the runway (BG-3502) at 8:37 pm on Saturday (August 17). Earlier, a flight of Saudi Airlines (SB 808) landed at around 1:30 pm with 335 Hajj pilgrims. 

The deputy general manager of the aircraft (Public Relations) Tahera Khandaker confirmed the information.

Civil Aviation and Biman Bangladesh Airlines officials welcomed the pilgrims at the airport. The attendee Hajj pilgrims will collect 4 liters of Zamzam Water from the airport. 

The flight departs from Jeddah for Dhaka at 11:00 am local time in Saudi Arabia.

According to a press release of Biman, Bangladesh Airlines will operate a total of 176 return Hajj flights, including 147  dedicated flights and 29 scheduled flights from August 17 to September 15.

This year, the Biman Bangladesh Airlines has safely reached the highest number of 66,286 Hajj passengers on 181 pre-Hajj flights to Saudi Arabia.

Deputy General Manager of Public Relations (Public Relations) Tahira Khandaker said 

The Biman has confirmed everyone’s Hajj journey on the importance of Holy Hajj and religious sentiments with the highest priority. An additional 2687 Hajj pilgrims have transported more than the set target of 63,599.
