Bhutan greets Bangabandhu lightening thousand lamps

Bhutan’s Prime Minister Lotay Tshering on Tuesday has congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Mujib Borsho. 

Confirming the matter, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told that Lotay Tshering telephoned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and wished Mujib Borsho to her and the people of Bangladesh. 

During this, Bhutan’s premier said that the people of Bhutan are also celebrating the birth centenary of Bangabandhu. “A 1000 lamps have been prayed for Bangabandhu, the best Bengali of a thousand years,” he said.  

In response, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked Bhutan’s Prime Minister and its people to celebrate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation. In the telephonic conversation, Prime Minister wished Bhutan’s peace, progress, and prosperity. 

On a historic day, Biplab Kumar Deb, Chief Minister of the Tripura State of India greeted Bangabandhu’s daughter. He called the Prime Minister to wish her Mujib Borsho, according to Prime Minister’s press wing sources. During this time, the Prime Minister expressed the wishes and gratitude of the Mujib Borsho to the Chief Minister of Tripura and its people. 

Bangladesh is celebrating the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In the wake of the recent aggression of the coronavirus, the nation is celebrating the birth centenary of the great leader by avoiding public gatherings and make the program in a limited range considering public safety and public interest.
