Sujan Pal of Agailjhara in Barisal has created a robot that can speak Bengali and English. The robot has been named 'Banga' as it was made on the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Young scientist Sujan Pal is the son of Joydev Pal of Uttar Shihipasha village in Gaila union of the upazila. He is a class XI student of Government Gournadi College.
Sujan said his robot can speak many languages besides Bengali and English. If fire breaks out in houses and offices or any other organization, It will able to inform the news to the nearest fire service immediately. In addition, if the gas cylinder leaks, it will immediately inform the people of the house through a special signal. Besides, if you ask anything, this robot will automatically search on Google and let you know.
He added that the robot will also work as a primary teacher and a doctor for first aid. At the same time, the robot will advise the farmers to deal with crop diseases. It took four months to build the robot. If the government patronage is granted, it can be made more sophisticated and used to serve the people.
It has been found out that Sujan Pal has created the robot 'Banga' with his own talent, leaving poverty behind due to his strong will. Family, teachers, and classmates also encouraged him to finish the job.
Sujan Pal's uncle Gautam Pal said that it cost Tk40,000 to create the robot by saving pocket money. People are coming every day from different areas to see the robot and talk to it. Sujan's father Joydev Pal and mother Sabita Rani Pal are happy with their son's success.
Agailjhara UNO Abul Hashem said recommendations would be sent to the Ministry of Science and Technology to assist Sujan Pal in making the robot more sophisticated.
