Barishal ready to face `Bulbul`

As the cyclonic storm “Bulbul” is likely to hit Bangladesh, Barishal ready to face the cyclonic storm, said DC SM Aziar Rahman. 

He said Barishal has taken all-out preparation to face cyclone 'Bulbul'. Control rooms and shelter centers have been opened. Besides, government officials' leave has also canceled.

Maritime ports of Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist great danger signal number 10. Coastal districts of Bhola, Borguna, Patuakhali, Barishal, Pirozpur, Jhalokathi, Bagherhat, Khulna, Satkhira and their offshore islands and chars will come under great danger signal number 10.

According to the weather office on Saturday morning, Bulbul is 375 km southwest of Payra ports. Wind speed is normal in Barisal. However, at the time of the hit, the velocity will be 130-135 mph. 

Barisal river port officials said that other vessels, including rescuers, have been prepared to avoid the accident.
