Bank transaction period extended

The bank transaction period has been extended by one more hour due to the ongoing strict lockdown. The transaction will continue from 10 am to 2.30 pm from July 8.
Bangladesh Bank has issued a directive in this regard on Tuesday.
It was informed that the period of government restriction has been extended till July 14 to prevent coronavirus infection. For this, the new letter has been issued with some changes in the DOS circular letter issued on June 30 to continue banking activities to a limited extent.
Besides Friday and Saturday, the weekly holidays, the bank will be closed on Sunday, July 11. Bank transactions will run from 10 am to 2.30 pm from July 8 to July 14 and can be kept open till 4 pm to sort out the post-transaction work.
The circular further said that the bank would be able to keep the required number of branches open at its own discretion through limited manpower by maintaining social distance and ensuring compliance with hygiene rules. Besides, the other instructions of the previous letter will remain unchanged.
