Bangladeshi student secures top position in Bar at law

Ehsanul Islam Oarith, a Bangladeshi student at West of England University (WEU), Bristol, has secured the top position in the Bar at Law examination 2018.

He was awarded the degree at the call to bar ceremony organized by the Inner Temple on December 3, said a press release here today.

Oarith, son of Hasina Akter Nigar, admitted to Bachelor of Laws (LLB-honors) course in the WEU with the Lord Inner Templeman Scholarship in 2013 and obtained the degree securing the first position.

Later, he admitted to the Master of Laws (LLM) course at the Newcastle University (NU) with the Sir Mark Waller Scholarship and was awarded the ‘prize for outstanding performance in LLM’ for his outstanding results in the LLM examination in 2016.

He completed his Barrister at Law from the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) College with the scholarship of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.

Earlier, Oarith completed his O-level and A-level securing highest marks in the examinations and earned the Daily Star Award for his outstanding award in the examinations.

He was also awarded the Honourable Mention Advocate Award and the Exhibition Award.
