Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF in Panchagarh

A Bangladeshi was shot dead by BSF at the Ghagara border of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila’s Hari Bhasha UP on Tuesday morning.

The deceased identified as Hasan Ali son of Md Tabibur Rahman at Khal Para of the same UP.

Locals said police and the BGB were notified of the death of Hasan Ali’s body on land inside Bangladesh on the Berubari border of the same Upazila. Later they recovered the body.

BGB 56 battalion captain Lt. Colonel Mamunul Haque said that the deceased Hasan Ali was a cattle businessman. It is being conceived that BSF shot Hasan while crossing cows along the border. Later, the body was dumped on the Bangladesh border. The matter is being investigated.

SP Mohammad Yusuf Ali of Panchagarh said the body was recovered and sent to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital. The evidence is being recovered and the subsequent action will be taken under the investigation.
