Despite Tamim, Riyad and Soumya's century Bangladesh lost first Test by innings and 52 runs, ended on Sunday. Tamim, Riyad and Soumya have moved up in ranking.
Tigers reached Wellington from Hamilton on Tuesday to play the second Test. The second of the three-match Test series will be held on March 8, Basin Reserve, Wellington.
Meanwhile, Wellington's Basin Reserve has very strong winds. In that case, there might be problems in the bowling-batting for Bangladesh. But during Wellington tour, Tiger opener Sadman Islam said, "The wind will be there. It's natural matter I think it will not be a problem. If we think much about wind then there will be problems. But it would be better not to keep the matter in mind.
Meanwhile, Soumya Sarkar played one of the best innings of his career, got his maiden century in the white dress. His 149-run innings is a big answer for critics.
Bangladesh lost the first test but three tigers batsmen got century and it is not less as an achievement. Bangladesh can find inspiration from the 2nd innings where they cross 400 runs.
If the batsmen able to continue this form in Wellington good result will come.
Mushfiqur is returning to the second Test. The new bowling lineup could do their job properly then Bangladesh may make a good result in Wellington.
