Bangladesh receives $163 crore remittance in January

Bangladesh have received $ 163.85 crore remittances from expatriates in January 2020. In the first seven months (July-January) of the current fiscal year 2019-20, they sent around $ 11.04 billion remittances, which is 21.43 percent up than the same period last year.

According to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank, about $ 200 billion more remittance sent by expatriates in 2019-20 (July-January) fiscal year compared to 2018-19 (July-January) fiscal year.

Bangladesh Bank sources said, in last December, $ 168.70 crore remittances earned. That was the second-highest remittance in Bangladesh in a month. So far the highest remittance was earned in May 2019, 174.82 US dollars.

In the last seven months of this fiscal year, $ 10.2 million of remittances came.

A total, $909.20 was earned in the seven months of the last fiscal year.
