Bangladesh on way to big score with Tamim-Shanto’s bat

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are facing off in the first Test of the two-match series under the World Test Championship. Although lost a wicket at the beginning of batting, the Tigers turned around with Tamim and Shanto’s batting, as a result, the Mominul’s team on way to a big score.
At the end of the first session of the first day, Bangladesh scored 106 runs after losing one wicket.
Tiger captain Mominul Haque decided to bat after winning the toss at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy on Wednesday. Tamim Iqbal and Saif Hassan opened the innings for the team.
Tamim gave a good start by scoring 8 runs with the help of two fours in the first over. However, Saif returned to the dressing room before opening the score in the next over. Vishwa Fernando trapped him in the leg before lbw.
Despite losing a wicket in the beginning, Tamim did not let the team come under pressure. He continued to make rapid runs in counter-attacks. The country’s best batsman completed his career’s 29th fifty with 52 balls.
Tamim and Shanto finished the first session uninterruptedly. Both are unbeaten on 65 and 37 runs respectively.
