Bangladesh logs 95 COVID deaths in 24hrs

Bangladesh has reported 95 more Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, raising the death tolls to 10,683, according to the official figures.
Besides, 4,280 Covid-19 cases were confirmed during the period. With the latest, the tally of infections has surged to 7,32,060.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) informed this in a press release on Wednesday (April 21, 2021).
A total of 28,408 samples were tested at 335 authorized laboratories across the country during the time, the press release added. “The virus detection rate is 15 percent.”
In the past 24 hours, another 7,072 people were discharged from the hospital, raising the total number of cured patients to 6,35,183.
Among the 95 people who died from the coronavirus – 59 are male and 36 are female. “The mortality rate from the virus is 1.46 percent,” it added.
Earlier, 91 deaths were reported related to the disease yesterday. As per that the death toll has risen today.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
