Bangladesh have declared their first innings following a 295-run lead on 560/6 after Mushfiqur Rahim reached his 3rd double ton in Test Cricket against Zimbabwe at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today. Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten on 203 off 318 balls with 28 fours. Skipper Mominul Haque also made his 9th Test centurey.

Bangladesh starts their overnight 240/3, trail by only 25 runs with 7 wickets in hand. Mominul 79* and Mushfiqur 34*.

The diminutive batsman reached his double century off 318 with a fierce cut past point off Ainsley Ndlovu delivery.

His highest Test score 219, which is also the best individual score by a Bangladeshi batsman came against this Zimbabwe side in 2018.

Only two Bangladeshi batsmen-Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal–hit double century in Test cricket but they didn’t do it more than once.

Skipper Mominul Haque contributed 132 runs while Nazmul Hossaon Shanto made 71. Liton Das was the other notable scorer with 53.

Ndlovu ended with figures of 2-170 while Donald Tiripano, Victor Nyauchi, Sikandar Raza and Charlton Tshuma picked up one wicket apiece for Zimbabwe.
