Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that Bangladesh has climbed seven notches to 91st position in the Global Peace Index.
He said Bangladesh is moving forward at an indomitable pace on the path of peace and prosperity under the able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu.
The minister came up with the development while briefing reporters at his official residence on Friday. The party's general secretary announced the program on the occasion of the 72nd founding anniversary of Awami League.
Obaidul Quader said the BNP is the main culprit in destroying the democratic, natural and political environment in this country. The BNP's politics of killing, murder, and terrorism has pushed the country backward.
He added that Bangladesh Bangladesh has climbed seven notches in the global peace index. If the BNP takes power, the country will be plunged into darkness again. There will be mountains of corpses again. If the pro-revenge BNP gets power, it will flood the country with blood.
The general secretary of the Awami League said the country and the people of the country are not safe in the hands of the BNP, the patron of communal and violence. It is clear to the people of the country that the politics of the BNP is more dangerous than the virus.
Obaidul Quader said the Awami League now has to face two challenges. The first one is Corona and the second is violent sectarianism.
He said that where there are organizational problems, the leaders in charge of their respective departments will take necessary steps. If anyone has any complaint against the committees of Awami League which have already been formed, he will submit the complaint to the election tribunal of the political office of the party president of Dhanmondi.
