Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in 100th T20I

Bangladesh have won their 100th T20I match against host Zimbabwe by 8 wickets at Harare today. After batting first Zimbabwe post 152/10 in the first match of the three-match series. In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target keeping 7 balls in hand in 18.5 overs. 

Opener Naim Sheikh scored 63 off 51 not out and Soumya Sarkar made 50 off 45.

Chasing the target Bangladesh got a flying start as Soumya Sarkar and Naim Sheikh added 101 runs for the first wicket stand before the former went run out by Masakadza/†Chakabva. 

Naim and skipper Mahmudullah shared 21 runs in the second wickets stand before the latter run out for 15 by Muzarabani. 

Later, Naim and Nurul Hasan's unbroken 30 stands in the third wicket confirmed victory for the Tigers. Naim made 63 off 51. His innings were adorned with 6 fours while Nurul made 16 off 8 with the help of one four and a six. 

Earlier, Zimbabwe were all out for 152 with one over to spare in the first T20I of the three-match against Bangladesh at Harare Sports Club today. 

Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza chose to bat after winning the toss. Tadiwanashe Marumani and Wessley Madhevere opened the innings for the host. But Zimbabwe's start was not good as they lost Tadiwanashe Marumani on 10. Pacer Mustafizur Rahman struck in his first over to remove Tadiwanashe Marumani (7 off 7) to bring the first breakthrough for Bangladesh.

Wessley Madhevere and Regis Chakabva shared 64 runs in the second wickets stand before the former went out to Shakib Al Hasan. Before fell to Shakib Madhevere scored 23 off 23. 

Regis Chakabva who was an aggressive-looking batter run out by Nurul Hasan for 43 off 22.  Zimbabwe lost their 4th wicket to 94 when their skipper Sikandar Raza fell to Shoriful Islam for naught. 

Zimbabwe lost their fifth wickets when Soumya Sarkar dismissed Tarisai Musakanda for 6 on 111/5 in 13.2 over.

Dion Myers who was playing his debut match scored 35 off 22 before being bowled by Shoriful Islam. Luke Jongwe 18 off 16 was the other notable scorer for the host. No other batsmen crossed the double-digit as Zimbabwe all out for 152 in 19 over. 

For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman took 3 wickets for 3 while Shakib Al Hasan and Saifuddin bagged 2 wickets apiece.
