Zimbabwe resumed the first innings with an overnight score of 236/5 in 91 overs and raised their tally to 282 for all in 117.3 overs.
The visiting site played only 26.3 overs in the second day’s first session to add 46 runs more with their overnight collection for the cost of five wickets where Taijul captured four wickets to complete his six wickets mission in the innings.
Overnight batsman Peter Moor hammered unbeaten half-century of 63 off 192 balls, including six boundaries, while another overnight batsman Regis Chakabva was out for 28, playing his innings of 85 balls to fire two boundaries.
P Moor and R Chakabva shared a partnership inning off 60 off 25.4 overs in the sixth stand of the innings to carry the team collection to 261/6 in 102.1 overs from 201/5 in 76.3 overs before R Chakabva was caught by Nazmul Islam off Taijul as the day’s first breakthrough for Bangladesh.
The remaining three batsmen - Brandon Mavuta, Kyle Jarvis and Tendai Chatara - were out on single digits on the day.
On his way to six-for 108 runs in 39.3 overs, Taijul brought the first breakthrough on both days and grabbed four wickets - Regis Chakabva, Wellington Masakadza, Kyle Jarvis and TendaiChatara - on the second day, following his two-for 86 - Brian Chari and Brendan Taylor - in the first day on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh opened the first innings on the day and played just six balls before the lunch break to score two runs with their opening stand between Liton Kumar Das [1* off4b] and Imrul Kayes [1* off 2b].
