Bangladesh-US contract to boost healthcare, financial sectors

Bangladesh and the United States have agreed to increase cooperation in the healthcare and financial sectors. At the same time, economic diplomacy will be enhanced. The leaders of the two countries agreed at a high-level meeting on Wednesday to enhance economic cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States at the Prime Minister's Office. Keith Crouch, Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, and Salman F. Rahman, Advisor to the Prime Minister, attended the meeting on behalf of their respective countries.
At the time, Salman F. Rahman emphasized on enhancing economic diplomacy with neighboring and regional countries as well as important countries.
Salman F Rahman, Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister presided over the discussion on behalf of Bangladesh. Keith Crouch, the US Under Secretary of Economy, joined online as co-chair.
At the same time, the US Under Secretary appreciated the initiative of the Bangladesh government to increase foreign investment. The prime minister's adviser praised US investment in the country. During the meeting, the representatives of the two countries agreed on the blue-economy, agriculture, public health, energy, communication and infrastructural cooperation.
