Bangladesh Club USA has observed the 50th anniversary of Bangabandhu’s Historic 7 March Speech at the the club office in Jackson Heights, New York, USA
Bangladesh Club USA has observed the 50th anniversary of Bangabandhu’s Historic 7 March Speech in New York. Discussions and recitations were held at the club office in Jackson Heights.
Writer and journalist Shamim Al Amin spoke on the event presided by journalist and playwright Tofazzal Liton. Painter Sayeed Rahman, Activist Rajiv Ahsan were present on the occasion.
Md. Mahfuzul Haque, general secretary of the organization, recited the poem. Cultural activist Shibli Sadiq recited self-written poems.
Sayeed Rahman said, “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the son of Bengal. Anyone who knows the history of Bangladesh correctly will love Bangabandhu. If we work for the country from our own place with Bangabandhu’s ideal in our heart, no one will be able to put us down.”
Writer and journalist Shamim Al Amin said this historic speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the best Bengali nation for thousands of years, has been included in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register in 2017 as a World Heritage Site. Bangabandhu’s speech has been published in all the official languages of the United Nations this year. This is how Bangabandhu’s speech should be spread all over the world.
The speakers also urged to present the biography and work of Bangabandhu for the next generation.
