‘Bangabandhu struggled whole life for two purposes’

Awami League Advisory Council Member Tofail Ahmed said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had fought and struggled for the whole of his life for two purposes. One is independence, another is making hunger and poverty-free Bangladesh.
Tofail Ahmed made this remark while he was talking at a discussion on 'Bangabandhu, Awami League and Bangladesh Identical Entity' organized by Sampriti Bangladesh at Abdus Salam Hall of National Press Club in the capital on Thursday.
Tofail Ahmed said, though he (Bangabandhu) could go through independence but could not finish another. But his well-deserved daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has gone a long way in building a hunger and poverty-free country. Today we are middle income country; developing Digital Bangladesh
He said Bangabandhu led the language movement. Non-cooperation movement. Awami League won the election but did not get the power. That Awami League presented 6 points. Bangabandhu declared independence. The country gained independence on March 7th. The rest were part of the struggle and independence process. Bangladesh has been independent because Awami League was established - Mentioned Tofail Ahmed.
Bangabandhu went London from Lahore after independence, where journalists asked, you will go to the country, and your country is in ruined, there is nothing. What will you do?'
Tofail Ahmed said “After liberation war, the budget was Tk787 crore. And this year we announced the budget of Tk5 lakh 23 thousand 190 crore. Where's from? Our export income was 300 million Dollar, now it has crossed 41 billion. The per capita income was 70 dollars now it has crossed 2 thousand. Between 2030 we will be 29th, and by 2050, the 23rd economic country of the world.
Sampriti Bangladesh’s convener Pijush Bandyopadhyay presided over the function while Prime Minister's Special Assistant Biplob Barua, former Secretary Nasir Uddin, Major General (retd) Mohammad Ali Sikder, former JU Chhatra League leader Shariful Islam Sharif were present.
