Before the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 Cup, Minister Group Rajshahi has suffered a major loss as one of the key players Mohammad Saifuddin got injured during practice just two days before the start of the tournament. It goes without saying that he is unlikely to play in the first match of the tournament.
Rajshahi will take on Beximco Dhaka in the opening match of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup on 24 November. Earlier, the team’s cricketers took to the field on Sunday as part of regular practice. They were playing “football” before the start of practice for the purpose of warming up. Saifuddin got injured at that time.
After getting injured, Saifuddin left the field with the weight on the shoulders of the two and then on the crutches. It is still unknown how serious his injury is.
However, he was rested on Monday. The all-rounder did not come to practice that day. According to reliable sources, Saifuddin’s chances of playing in the first match are slim.
If the injury is serious, Saifuddin can be dropped from the tournament. In that case, Rajshahi will have to suffer quite well - because there is no big star in the team except this 24-year-old all-rounder. At their first call, they did not take Mahmudullah Riyad but took Saifuddin.
