The fire in Banani’s FR Tower took out many dreams. Many people lost their loved ones. The fire took away a talented cricketer named Nahidul Islam Tushar.

The local cricket player, Magura's son Nahidul who is also known as ‘Wind speed’ in the domestic cricket, had a dream of playing in the National team. But his dream was lost as he died in the fire of Banani’s FR Tower.

His friend, former cricketer Khan Nayan, confirmed the death of Tushar. Tushar is a close friend of Shakib Al Hasan. He was the media manager of the Comilla Victorians, the current champion of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Nayan said, “On Thursday night at 10:00 pm, my friend named Boni Amin Ovi told me over the phone that our friend Nahidul Islam Tushar dead in the Banani fire.”

“He was the left-handed pace bowler. We used to call him ‘Lefty Tushar’. He was the cricketer of Magura District Team. He lived in Adarshapara that was on the other side of the Stadium. He was in Magura due to his father’s job. Tushar was really a modest person.”

“The body of Tushar was in the Kurmitola General Hospital,” Nayan also said.

The deceased Nahidul Islam Tushar’s father Ishaq Ali was working as Engineer in Magura Health. Currently, they are living in a family home in Tangail. And the cricketer used to work in an organization named Air Heritage. The company office was in the FR Tower.
