BTS wins Billboard music awards for 5 consecutive times

K-Pop boy band BTS has scooped up four prizes in this year’s Billboard Music Awards (BBMA), making the band winning the award for 5 consecutive years.
The boy band received four awards this year for which they were nominated, including Top Selling Song, Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist and the fan-voted Top Social Artist.
The BBMA ceremony was held live at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles however, K-pop received awards from Seol.
BTS was nominated in three categories of Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist and the fan-voted Top Social Artist, while it was awarded Top Selling Song with its megahit “Dynamite”, their first English song that released in August last year.

BTS, the world’s most popular K-pop band, has come a long way since their first BBMA nomination in 2017 for Top Social Artist.
The group competed for the title ‘Top Duo/Group’ trophy American rock band AC/DC, indie pop trio AJR, American country music duo Dan + Shay and pop-rock band Maroon5.
