Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said BNP has been saying malicious words about the coronavirus situation.

He said this in response to a question from reporters in a meeting with media representatives on contemporary issues at information ministry on Sunday.

Hasan Mahmud said, "No one should do politics in this situation in the country." But the BNP is saying many malicious and irresponsible speech about the situation and doing politics with coronavirus. In fact, now all the political parties should come forward to face the COVID-19 situation regardless of the party.

We will succeed in a united effort to deal with the situation in Corona, saying that Hasan Mahmud said, "When the whole nation goes through such a disaster, crossing the revolution, we see some irresponsible and malicious talk being said by the BNP. This is not the time to say such irresponsible words in this state of the country."

Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, now is not the time to do politics but the time to unite and protect the nation, regardless of the party. I will urge all the BNP men to stand unitedly with the people. If you have any suggestions, you must present it to the government.

When asked whether any initiative would be taken for the journalists to protect them from coronavirus, the information minister said that arrangements would be taken to provide some security products after consultation with the Health Minister.

Referring to the scrapping of 32 news workers on a private television in the midst of the Corona panic, he said that it was sad, unwanted, to quit. I know today. More details will be done on what to do. As much as possible action will be taken on my behalf.
