BGB deployed in Cumilla, 21 districts

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed in 22 districts of the country to keep the law and order situation normal during the Durga Puja.
Confirming the matter to the media, BGB Director Operations Lieutenant Colonel Faizur Rahman said BGB members have been on duty in different parts of the country since last night.
Sources said the BGB would be on duty from the ground along with the other forces in and around the temple as per the instructions of the local administration.
So far, BGB has been deployed in 22 districts of the country including Cumilla, Narsingdi and Munshiganj of the Dhaka division.
Meanwhile, a BGB source said that there is a possibility of deploying BGB in the capital if there is a demand from the concerned authorities.
