BD to observe of state mourning today honoring Kuwaiti Emir

Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has breathed his last on Tuesday at the age of 91
The Bangladesh government has decided to observe a day of state mourning for the death of Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The mourning will be observed nationwide on Thursday.
A gazette notification to this effect was signed by Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam on Wednesday.
“On the death of the Emir of Kuwait, the national flag will be hoisted at half-mast at all government and non-government buildings in Bangladesh, including government and semi-government and autonomous institutions and educational institutions, and in Bangladesh missions abroad,” the notification said.
Besides, special prayers will be held in all mosques of Bangladesh. Special prayers for the peace of his soul will be organized at other religious institutions.
