Dr. Kazi Shakkhor and Engineer Bayezid Shuvo made the first ventilator or artificial breathing machine in Bangladesh with the country’s technology which is named ‘Spondon’.

They told that tidal volume, IE ratio, peak flow, apnea, pressure, respiratory rate, and patient breathing sensors can be performed perfectly by this machine.

BRAC University student AF Kingshuk and Ahsanullah University student Tazbirul Hasan Kabbo assisted them directly in making this artificial breathing machine.

Besides, Dr. Asif Ur Rahman, Dr. Farhad Uddin Hasan Chowdhury Maruf, M Tofazzal, Kazi Monsur Ul Haque, Fahim Ahmed, Akif Muntasir, and Sohail Rana – gave advice and overall assistance.

The physicians are hoped that the ventilator made by Dr. Shakkhor and Engineer Bayezid will play the role to save the life of critical patients to combat coronavirus.
