The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has called an emergency meeting of its directors in response to the players' strike. BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon called the emergency meeting on Tuesday morning. It is initially thought that a big decision is likely to make in the meeting.

Bangladesh Cricket Team on Monday suddenly announced that they have gone on a strike and will boycott all cricket-related activities. The cricketers - led by Bangladesh Test and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan - put out an 11-point demand, which they said must be fulfilled before they will take part in any on-field activities.

Such announcement of the cricketers shook the Cricket Board. In the context of which, the BCB called the meeting today. The members of the executive board of BCB will discuss the demands of the cricketers at the meeting.

BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon will hold a media conference around 12:00 pm after the meeting. At the same time, the Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) also called a press conference. Naimur Rahman Durjoy, the president of the association and the board director and the first Test captain of Bangladesh national team, is expected to talk to the media.

There are mixed reactions from within the BCB, with some directors accusing the cricketers of "blackmailing" the board, while others have said that they understand the players' stance in these difficult circumstances.
