The BCB announced the squad in a press release on Friday. Shuvagata Hom has returned to the team after a long absence. Besides, Shahidul Islam, Shoriful Islam and Mukidul Islam Mugdho got the first call this time.
Announcing the squad, Chief Selector Minhazul Abedin Nannu said, “We have announced the squad keeping in mind the future as well as everyone’s preparations for the tour of Sri Lanka. The final squad will be announced after the warm-up match in Sri Lanka.”
Regarding the three new pacers Shahidul, Shoriful and Mugdho in the team, he said, “These three were in our HP team and they did very well there. Shahidul and Mugdho have done well in first-class cricket. We think of them for the future. Everyone is talented enough.”
