BCB announces Bangladesh squad for New Zealand series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced a 19-member Bangladesh squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand. 

Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das have returned to the team. Mohammad Mithun has been left out. 

The BCB announced the squad for the series against the Kiwis in a statement on Thursday. Although Mushfiqur could not play in the series against Australia due to quarantine complications, he is now included in the team as usual.  

Besides, Liton Das could not play in the previous series due to family reasons. He also returned to the team. Legspinner Aminul Islam Biplob has been called up to the team after a long absence.

Mohammad Mithun did not get a chance in any match of the series against Australia. The selectors did not include him in the squad in this series. 

The New Zealand cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh on August 24 to play a five-match T20 series.

Mahmudullah (captain), Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Das, Mosaddek Hossain, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Naeem, Nurul Hasan, Shamim Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin, Shoriful Islam, Taijul Islam, Mehidy Hasan, Aminul Islam Biplob, Nasum Ahmed.
