Starc picked up a four-for while Finch cracked an impressive 153 to lead the side to a comfortable victory.
Defending champions Australia posted a mammoth total of 334 runs for 7 in 50 overs against Sri Lanka in the ICC Cricket World Cup at Kennington Oval on Saturday thanks to Aaron Finch's 153 runs, the joint-highest individual knock in this World Cup with Joe Root of England. In replay, Sri Lanka earned 247 runs losing all wickets in 45.5 overs.
Australia were scratching their heads when Perera played those audacious shots. And Karunaratne rode a bit of luck with those inside edges, but gave great company and even had an excellent strike-rate. But this is what the Aussies are all about. They never give up. Starc started it all by castling Perera and then he came back to take three in no time. Behrendorff, Richardson and Cummins joined the party to strangle the innings.
