Attack on UNO: Two accused land in jail after remand

Two accused Nabirul Islam and Santu Kumar produced before the court on Friday afternoon
Two accused Nabirul Islam and Santu Kumar have been sent to jail after seven-days remand in connection with the attack on Ghoraghat UNO Wahida Khanam and her father Omar Ali Sheikh at Ghoraghat in Dinajpur.
DB police produced them before the court on Friday afternoon. The judge later ordered the two to be sent to jail.
Court Inspector of Police Israel Hossain said no fresh remand petition had been filed against Santu Kumar and Nabirul Islam. That is why the court sent them to jail. The main accused in the case Asadul Islam is still in remand. He will be produced in court on Saturday.
Dinajpur DB police inspector Imam Zafar, who is also the investigating officer of the case, said the remand of all the accused has not been completed yet. The information obtained in remand cannot be given for the sake of investigation. Details will be informed after remand.
