Bangladesh Army is going to a tough position from Thursday to ensure social distance and home quarantine in all parts of the country amid the ongoing crisis over coronavirus.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said that strict action will be taken against those who would disobey instructions issued by the government.

Assistant Director of ISPR Rashedul Alam Khan told Daily Bangladesh that the army has been working to maintain social distance. But from today, they would resort to tough action.

Earlier on March 24, the ISPR announced to deploy troops to all districts of the country to tackle the coronavirus situation.

Since then, the army has been performing various activities to aid the local administration to prevent the spread of coronavirus in all the divisions and districts of the country under "in aid to civil power".
