Army Firing Competition ends

The closing ceremony of Army Firing Competition-2021 and prize distribution ceremony has been held at Savar Cantonment.
On Wednesday, Chief of the Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed attended the ceremony as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners. Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) said these in a statement.
According to ISPR, the firing competition started on February 24 under the overall management of the 9 Infantry Division. It was attended by 15 teams from all the formations of Bangladesh Army including Logistics Area and four Independent Brigades. There were a total of 200 contestants including 13 female soldiers.
In this competition 7 Infantry Division team became the champion and 24 Infantry Division team became the runner-up. Sergeant Abdullahel Baki of the 24 Infantry Division and Md. Corporal Jamal Khan of 7 Infantry Division became the winner and runner-up respectively.
The closing and award ceremonies were attended by senior army officers including officers of various units and organizations in the Savar region, JCOs, and soldiers.
