Armed forces have to stay alert to face threats: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urges the armed forces to stay prepared to tackle any troublesome situation with highest professionality for the shake of the country and the nation.
The Prime Minister said this while she was delivering as the chief guest at the National Standard (National Flag) giving ceremony in Rajshahi Cantonment around 12.pm on Sunday noon.
Chief of Army Staff Major General Aziz Ahmed, Rajshahi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdus Subhan, Rajshahi City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Omar Faruk Choudhuri MP, Fazle Hosen Badsha MP, Ayen Uddin MP, Eng. Enamul Haque MP, Dr. Manshur Rahman MP, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Nur-Ur-Rahman, DC SM Abdul Quader, Range DIG of Police M Khurshid Hossein, Rajshahi Police Commissioner AKM Hafiz Akhtar, Rajshahi Unnayan Kartripakkha Chairman Bazlur Rahman, City Awami League’s Senior Vice President Shahin Akhtar Rany were present the program.
Besides, army and civil high officials including government employees and politicians were present the National Standard giving program.
Earlier, on 3rd March at around11.30 am, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Rajshahi with a helicopter while she came to the Rajshahi Cantonment’s Shahid Col. Anis Parade Ground at 11.45am. Later, with the Chie of Army, the Prime Minister visited Parade and gave the National Standard (National Flag) to the 7, 8, 9 and 10 Beer (Soldier) of Bangladesh Armed Forces.
