Another lawsuit filed against Evaly’s 20 officials including MD, chairman

Another lawsuit has been filed against 20 officials of controversial e-commerce company Evaly, including Mohammad Russell, chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD) of Evaly and its chairman Shamima Nasrin, for embezzling customer money.
Md. Kamrul Islam Chakdar filed the case with Dhanmondi Police Station on Saturday night.
Besides MD Mohammad Russell and Chairman Shamima Nasrin, 15 to 20 unidentified people including Evaly Vice President Akash, Manager Jahedul Islam Hemoy, Senior Accounts Manager Tanvir Alam, Senior Executive Commercial Jawadul Haque Chowdhury, Head of Accounts Selim Reza, Accounts Manager Jubayer Al Mahmoud, Accounts department official Sohel, Akibur Rahman Turja, CEO Russell’s PS Md. Rezwan, the Bike department’s official Sakib Rahman has been made the accused in the case.
Confirming the matter, Dhanmondi Police Station OC Ikram Ali Mia said a businessman named Kamrul Islam had filed the lawsuit on Saturday night. Evaly CEO and chairman have been accused in the case.
In the lawsuit details, the plaintiff mentioned that he had supplied goods worth Tk 35 lakh to Evaly’s Dhanmondi office. But Evaly did not pay his dues. Evaly CEO and chairman have been shown arrest in a case filed by Kamrul Islam.
Although 12 names were mentioned in the case, another 15 to 20 people have been made anonymous accused, added OC Ikram Ali Mia.
A lawsuit was filed against Russell and his wife Shamima Nasrin on September 16 with the Gulshan police station for embezzling customer money. A few hours later, they were arrested from their Mohammadpur resident.
