National award-winning singer Andrew Kishor went under chemotherapy again since Saturday who has been undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital for five months after being diagnosed with cancer.

Singer Momin Biswas confirmed the matter.

Mr. Biswas said, “At the beginning of the treatment, it was reported that Andrew Kishor would need to take 24 chemotherapies in 6 cycles while among those he has completed 17. Now, this is the beginning of the 18th chemotherapy, hopefully, Dada (Andrew Kishor) will come round soon as well as return among us after completing the treatment. His family sought blessings from the countrymen.”

Momin also added that doctors had informed us that all chemotherapies would be finished by the end of February and after that Andrew Kishor may return home. But last month, the chemotherapy was stopped due to various complications of his body. He had to give a few bags of blood on an emergency basis. Now chemotherapy is being started again by eliminating these problems.

The family has already spent more than Tk 2 crores for treatment of Andrew Kishor. Still, they need more money according to the singer’s family sources.
