Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner M Asaduzzaman Mia today said any kind of anarchy in tomorrow election will be handled strictly as all sorts of security measures have been taken to hold the 11th national parliamentary election in a festive mood.

“If anyone tries to create anarchy in the national polls, we will prevent it strictly. Law enforcement agencies have taken all sorts of necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted security in the city aimed at ensuring free and fair election,” he said.

The DMP commissioner said this while speaking at a press conference at the DMP headquarters in the city.

Asaduzzaman Mia said they have taken adequate security measures to ensure balloting by the voters. In every election, the DMP chief said, they select some centers as risky and take necessary initiatives accordingly.

“In Dhaka city, we have taken security measures with all law enforcement agencies. So, there is no risky center in the city,” he added.
