Amar Ekushey Prabhat Feri observed in Sylhet

On the occasion of Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day as well as the 68th anniversary of the historic Language Movement, Language martyrs were remembered with humble respect in Sylhet. Thousands of people from all walks of life including local politicians and dignitaries have paid floral homage to the language heroes attending at the Central Saheed Minar in the city.

Shaheed Minar was the barefooted destination of the people from various parts of the city with flowers of gratitude to pay homage to the Shaheed Minar altar.

Earlier on the first hour of the Ekushey, the floral offering began at 12:01 am.

The formality began with the floral offering of the freedom fighters; later, Sylhet City Corporation mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury paid tribute first in the new order. Then, the divisional commissioner, DIG Sylhet Range, DC, SP, district and metropolitan Awami League and then various political and social organizations paid tribute according to the protocol.

As part of the day's program, the Ekushey Prabhat Feri was organized in the initiatives of Sylhet district and metropolitan Awami League.
