Alibaba donates Bangladesh 30,000 coronavirus testing kits

China's online giant Alibaba Foundation and Jack Ma Foundation donated 30,000 coronavirus testing kits to Bangladesh, Chinese Embassy in Dhaka handed over the kits to Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Friday.   

Earlier, medical logistics, including 10,000 testing kits, 10,000 personal protective equipment (PPE), 15,000 face masks and 1,000 infrared thermometers landed as the 2nd batch of medical logistics support from China on Thursday at Dhaka airport.

China provided 2,000 kits and medical supplies to Bangladesh in the first phase to overcome Coronavirus. A total, 42 thousand kits have come from China.

Jack Ma announced to donate coronavirus testing kits and emergency supplies to Bangladesh and some other countries to fight the novel coronavirus on March 21.

He wrote on his twitter, "Go Asia! We will donate emergency supplies (1.8M masks, 210K test kits, 36K protective suits, plus ventilators & thermometers) to Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka. Delivering fast is not easy, but we'll get it done!"
