Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has said the ground adjacent to Alia Madrasa located in old Dhaka will be developed as an aesthetic playground and opened for the residents of the respective area.

“There is a demand to open the field as open playground. I agree with the people’s demand,” said Taposh.

He was talking to reporters after inspecting the playground adjacent to the old central jail, Alia Madrasa and the projects undertaken around the jail today.

After witnessing the projects undertaken by the jail authorities around the ground adjacent to Alia Madrasa and Old Central Jail, Taposh said, “I think it will be appropriate to make some changes in the projects as the Prime Minister wants an aesthetic environment as well as an open playground here”.

Mentioning that the field will be opened for the development of mental and physical health of the people of the area, DSCC Mayor said, “If the jail authorities want, they can develop the ground otherwise the DSCC can develop the field for the people of the area.”
