Nepal is going to start its own domestic T20 competition titled Everest Premier League (EPL). Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi will be seen in the tournament. The all-rounder will play for Kathmandu Kings XI in the competition.

In this domestic T20 tournament in Nepal, Afridi will have Sandwip Lamichane, the country's biggest star, as his teammate. The Nepali leg-spinner made his debut in the International Twenty20 with the legendary Afridi as part of the ICC World XI.

They played a friendly match against the T20 World Champions West Indies to collect relief for the hurricane victims. Afridi, 41, has retired from international cricket but is still playing in franchise cricket leagues around the world.

Attacking batsman and effective leg-spinner Afridi has played 27 Tests, 398 ODIs, and 99 T20I matches for Pakistan. The tournament will start on September 25 and will continue till October 9 at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.
