Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has taken the responsibility of Pakistan’s physically challenged cricketers.

Shahid Afridi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of his Shahid Afridi Foundation with the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA).

Shahid Afridi was then announced as the chairman of the PDCA. Afridi has also been appointed as the coach of the physically challenged cricket team.

After taking the charge, Afridi said, “I will try my best to make the association more modern and up-to-date. Besides, I am eyeing to increase the financial security of physically challenged cricketers. I hope that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the private organizations will also stand by them.”
