Advance train tickets for Eid-ul-Adha will be available from five places including capital’s Kamalapur Railway Station.

“Advance train tickets will be sold from July 29, which will continue till August 2,” Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said at a press conference on Eid-ul-Adha preparations at capital’s Rail Bhaban on Tuesday.

“Return tickets for the train will be sold from August 5 and continue till August 9,” the Railway Minister informed.

He said, “Advance tickets for the train in this Eid will be given from five places like Eid-ul-Fitr so that there will be no  crowds in one place.”

“From Kamalapur Station- train tickets will be provided for the whole western region via the Jamuna Bridge. From Airport Station— train tickets will be provided for all Chattogram and Noakhali bound inter-city trains,” said Railway Minister.

“The train tickets will be collected from Tejgaon Railway Station — all Mymensingh and Jamalpur bound inter-city trains, from Banani — Mohonganj and Haor Express for Banani to Netrokona, and Fulbaria (Old Rail Bhaban) — all Sylhet and Kishoreganj-bound inter-city trains,” he also said.

Eid-ul-Adha or Qurbani Eid, the second largest religious festival for Muslim pilgrims, will be celebrated on August 12 or August 13, in view of moon sight. However, the railway work plan has been arranged for Eid on August 12.
