Active member of Hizb ut-Tahrir arrested from Khulna

Police have arrested an active member of the banned group Hizb ut-Tahrir, named Humayun Kabir from Dumuria in Khulna.
The police's anti-terrorism unit (ATU) informed this in a press release on Friday noon.
Humayun Kabir, 23, was arrested from Bhandarpara area of Dumuria police station in Khulna around 3:30 am on Friday. There is a case in his name under the Digital Security Act at Gulshan police station in the capital.
A mobile phone, five jihadi books and a NID card used by Humayun Kabir were recovered during the arrest, ATU said. An apply has been made to grant a 10-day remand for questioning him.
