Abul Hasanat Abdullah on ICU

Abul Hasanat Abdullah, an MP of Barishal-1 constituency and convener of the Hill Tracts Peace Implementation Monitoring Committee, has been admitted to hospital with serious illness. He was placed on life support ICU on Tuesday night as his condition deteriorated at the Square Hospital in the capital.
District Awami League general secretary Md. Talukdar Yunus has confirmed the matter, saying, “Abdullah, president of the Barisal District Awami League was admitted to Dhaka’s Square Hospital around 9:00 pm when he fell ill at his residence in Sangsad Bhaban around 8:15 pm.”
He is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Blessings have been offered by the party for his recovery, he also said.
Abul Hasanat Abdullah, 75, was the Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad during the previous government tenure.
