Abrar Murder: Asst provost testimonies

Assistant Provost (Establishment) of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and Assistant Professor of IAT Department Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Khan testified in the murder case of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

On Monday, he testified in the court of Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 Judge Abu Jafar Md. Kamruzzaman.

After that the lawyers of the accused party interrogated him. The court set Tuesday for the next testimony. So far, the testimony of 19 out of 60 witnesses of the case ended.

On the night of October 6, 2019, some students called BUET student Abrar Fahad. His body was recovered from the ground floor of Sher-e-Bangla Hall at around 3am.

Abrar was a second-year student at BUET's Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, who lived in room 1011 of Sher-e-Bangla Hall.

The victim's father Barkat Ullah filed a murder case against 19 people at Chawkbazar police station. On November 13, 2019, DB Inspector Wahiduzzaman, the investigating officer of the case, filed a chargesheet against 25 people in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court.
