AL’s International Sub-Committee sits with EU

The Awami League’s International Sub-Committee is meeting with European Union (EU) after giving a statement that the organization will not send any observers in the upcoming 11th parliamentary elections.  

The meeting is being held on Thursday in the new building of Awami League president’s political office in Dhanmondi. Ongoing political situation and upcoming elections are discussed in the meeting, party sources said.  

Earlier, EU said in a statement that they would not monitor the elections, the EU parliament will not look into the upcoming election process and will not comment after the voting process or the announcement of the results. Even, there will not be any EU’s election observer team. 

The statement was published on the website of the EU delegation on the Bangladesh Office website.

The BNP will meet with the European Union at 4:00 pm on the same day.
