AL withdraws candidature for Rangpur-3 by-polls

Awami League candidate Rezaul Karim Raju has stepped down from Rangpur-3 constituency by-election. He was accompanied by local Awami League leaders.
On Monday, he withdrew his candidature at the Rangpur Regional Election Commission office.
During this, Rezaul Karim said that he withdrew his nomination on the decision of Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina.
In protest, the Awami League and its organization’s leaders protested by blocking the road in the DC intersection area of the city. As the candidate withdraws the nomination, a total of 6 candidates from Jatiya Party and BNP will contest in the by-polls.
